Accolage is a Brussels non-profit that builds neighbourhood help networks to connect people locally. Together with Bras Dessus Bras Dessous, they wanted to lift the spirits of lonely seniors during the summer - a time when many volunteers are away.
We created a playful, low-threshold campaign around postcards. Through the website bisous-groetjes.be, anyone could send a unique card, complete with a personal message, to an elderly person in the network. Artist Eva Lynen designed the main visual: a long card that could be split in two, so the same senior would receive two connected greetings over the summer.
The response was heart-warming: 1.985 postcards made their way to older residents across Brussels. The campaign not only spread kindness, it also drew attention to the fundraising work of both organisations. Together, we made sure this was the most-sent postcard of the summer.
